Poem Blog Tears

Tears

And thereafter come . . .
tears,
without them
there is no life.
Tears
inspired by grief
tears
That fall like rain.

This poem makes me feel the sadness in the authors lines. She really shows how she feels about the camp and how she gave up on everything and just shows us signs of depression and sadness all throughout the poem. This transfers to me the reader and my mood turns gloomy knowing this person gave up without a fight.

  4. Just by reading the poem it brings off like a sad and gloomy vibe. I like how you used certain colors to represent the mood. In the poem it says " tears inspired by grief" that makes me feel like does the child want to die?

  10. I like how everything goes along the colors you have in the butterfly. It really make a good connection with your poem,I like " tears and rain" when I read that I imagine it dark and gloomy. The author passed through hard difficulties and feeling sorrowful.

    1. Arlen, how does it represent the mood? You need to talk more about that!

  14. This poem makes me feel sad because all she/he really talks about is tears. In the poem it's says "Tears, that fall like rain." I think she/he said that because they were crying so much and it just felt like rain after a while.

  15. The line, "inspired by grief". I recommend that you should've drawn a black flower and that would've symbolize death and passing away, and also indicates a major change or disruption in the future. Throughout the poem, I most payed attention to a certain text. Tears are inspired by grief. To me that just proves the we are all human and the best thing you can do is allow yourself to feel the grief as it comes over you. Resisting it only will extend the natural process of healing. Otherwise, your butterfly looks nice!
