Weekend Vibes

This weekend I had an amazing time at my cousins birthday party! He lives in Lions and he has a huge house. He threw a party there and we played all types of games, music, and activities. I had never had so much fun at any party before. I played soccer and basketball for most of the time. The food was delicious. We had all the Mexican food, from tacos, to beans, and arroz. We had so much that remembering the food makes me hungry. We ended up leaving at 3:00 A.M. and got home around 3:45. I had such a great time with my family and going to parties with them is so fun. I hope I get to go to another one soon!

The Blood of Olympus

This book is the last book of the series and concludes a series of adventures from brave heroes throughout the whole world to try and stop the evil Earth mother Gaea. In this book it's them against all they odds. The have to travel to Rome to fight the giants trying to rise Gaea. However, they have to separate and go on two missions. One group has to go fight the monsters and the other group has to deliver the Athena Parthenos to stop the war between Romans and Greeks. Nico, which is shadow traveling to get to the camp is dying when shadow traveling. The darkness that it takes to shadow travel in absorbing his soul. Meanwhile Reyna is lending her strength to Nico but it doesn't seem to help much. The attacks this group receives are a lot because they are trying to avoid them from reaching to Camp Half Blood to make the Greeks and Romans fight between themselvess, so no camp could be strong enough to defeat Gaea and the monsters. So, meanwhile this is happening, the other group in New Rome, is trying to destroy the giants and keep Gaea from rising. To do this they have to kill all the giants and make sure none of them gets captured or hurt because if they spill blood in the dirt, the Earth mother will awake. Unfortunately, the blood of one hero drops on the floor and Gaea wakes up. The heroes then defeat the giants but Gaea has awoken. The rush to Camp-Half Blood where the two camps successfully come together and fight against the giants and Gaea. They battle and battle for hours. I don't want to spoilt the end but if your interested just check out this book!

Poem Blog Tears

And thereafter come . . .
without them
there is no life.
inspired by grief
That fall like rain.

This poem makes me feel the sadness in the authors lines. She really shows how she feels about the camp and how she gave up on everything and just shows us signs of depression and sadness all throughout the poem. This transfers to me the reader and my mood turns gloomy knowing this person gave up without a fight.

Volleyball Game - Watching From the Sidelines

This game it was a bit different for me. It didn't feel right, something was strange. I was on the bench for the first time. Not because I lost my spot or cause someone is better but because I have a season ending injury. I broke my pinky and ring finger on my right hand for a poor choice that I regret. I failed my team and my coach. I might be able to play for play-offs however. I just wish that I get that chance again. I want to be out there playing. I wish I could do that, however I can't. Now, I have to stick to helping my team in other aspects like keeping the out of trouble and helping them with their skills in practice. Hopefully we keep our streak going!

Slice of Life #31 - Last of Blogging

Today is the last of blogging! I am so excited to finish this whole month with blogging everyday! Completing this challenge has made me feel better as a writter and a person with an open mind. This blogging has really taught many things about myself and about what I can achieve. I never thought I could blog for everyday, however, I did it. Blogging now seems simple to me and achievable. I had a great time blogging!

Slice of Life #30 - Last Day in Steam

Today was my final day in my Exploratory Class of STEAM. It was a pretty chill day, we just watched a movie. Another class ending and the year is getting closer to its finish. My team here at Heritage is almost up. I had many funny moments in this class! Specially when Nate dropped his Dash Robot  it once, not twice, but three times! He cracked me up because he always argued that someone controlled his robot and it wasn't him! He still got his robot taken away and had to do a poster on how he should be more careful with Dash! I did learn a lot of programming skills and ways to control an object and make it able to act on its own.

SOL #29 - Volleyball Game #5

Today I played my fifth game. I was so mad because the bus arrived at Heritage Middle School really late. I rushed outside and into the school as fast as I could. Then I realized this was useless because my coach and my friend Israel were taking their time. So, we had to wait for them too. Once we got there I saw many friends from my old school and we had some great catching up. We got the W and are now 5-0. Hoping to keep our streak alive and take 1st place in the standings. Amazing week proud of all my boys!
